Training Description:
When working with youth, sexuality is often an ongoing theme, and the adults that are responsible for addressing the issues are not always prepared for the level of sensitivity that can be present. In this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to examine these different “real” situations, assess their level of comfort and how their personal perspectives interact, develop strategies for managing situations, and identify resources for support. Special emphasis will be placed on youth in care and the impact of trauma on sexuality and how this can affect behavior.
