Training Description:

Child welfare staff are frequently assigned to work with clients who have high-risk factors for violence. Additionally, their service frequently takes place while working alone in clients’ homes, often located in areas with which they are not familiar. This workshop will help child welfare staff to assess the risk factors associated with violent behavior, to be able to intervene safely with violent clients, and to take steps to protect themselves while in the field.
